Great Trade-In Event

The Great Trade-In Event is going on now at Babies R Us. Until February 20th, trade in any car seat, travel sytem, play yard, crib, stroller, high chair, bassinet, or toddler bed and receive a coupon for 25% off any new one. There is no limit to how many items you can trade. Trade in items and purchased items can be from different categories.
When I spoke with a store employee, he said the reason for the trade-in is to "get the older, unsafe products out of use and replace them with newer models." He told me that all trade-ins would be disposed of. My idea was to purchase a booster seat or infant carrier from the Salvation Army (where they usually have plenty for a cheap price) and use that as a trade-in if you didn't have an item you want to trade.
I was very excited to see this deal come up now because we are looking to purchase a new car seat for my daughter who will be turning 1 this month and changing to a forward facing seat. Perfect timing!

Target match-ups

You can find some good prices on Johnson & Johnson baby products, Huggies, Pampers, and Enfamil at Target this week. See deal scenarios including coupon links on Stretching a Buck's post here.

Welcome

I was inspired to create a blog about something that could help others and also something that wasn't done already. I prayed about it and asked God to show me where this might be. I have really learned a lot from the coupon/money saving blogs I have been reading for the past few months. There are so many and they all give such valuable information. I saw that there wasn't one dedicated exclusively to baby/children's deals. I think that most people really begin to look at ways to save money after they have children because their expenses increase and sometimes their incomes may decrease. I know that is the case with my husband and I when we had our first baby about a year ago. I have actually really enjoyed finding the best deals, learning to use coupons and match them with sales, save money, and also to teach others how to do the same! So after much thought and prayer, I am so excited to begin this blog and hope that it can help you in some way. We're in this together, so if you find a great deal that I could add, please let me know!!!
